Front Right Hand Sensor - Infrequently 'squeels' on selecting [D] Drive

All suggestions welcome. Following reversing, then selecting [D] Drive - occasionally the Front Right Hand Sensor will activate in situations where there is no obstruction. The audio panel clearly shows the car diagram with the right hand sensor activated, it will sound a continuous beeeeep for about 2-3 seconds before clearing. Sometimes it will be much longer - up to 10 seconds.

The switch to activate the front sensors (in front of the Trasmission shift) is OFF. I have given it a wash/clean to ensure there was nothing covering the sensor.

2012 VW Tiguan TSI 132 Pacific - factory fitted front and rear sensors, no tow-pack.

    Cheers.. Chris

SOLVED: well sort of... just checked again, I hadn't looked at the black part of the bumper... obviously a bit of a knock has pushed the sensor out... it's sitting in behind.Front Right Hand Sensor - Infrequently 'squeels' on selecting [D] Drive-20161003_144138_resized-jpg

Any suggestions on the best way to clean up the scuff mark on the bumper?
